1I own the vivo x fold 5 and I love it. I have owned many foldables including Honor magic V3 and Samsung Fold 3, 5 and 6. I am sticking with vivo for cameras and battery life. You will not regret it.

Where to buyvivo X Fold5
Is the vivo X Fold5 worth buying at ₹87,399?
Yes — at ₹87,399 the vivo X Fold5 is a buy, scoring 4.0 out of 5 against other phones at this price. It is strongest on battery and weakest on value for money. That is the lowest we have recorded for it.
The ZuPick verdict
4.0out of 5
BuyBest at battery, weakest at value.
The VIVO X Fold5 gets most of the big things right for an expensive foldable: display quality, battery hardware, performance and camera versatility. Its main compromises are value, a shorter update promise than the class leaders and zoom that is good rather than class-leading.
Performance4.2
It scores about 1.99 million on AnTuTu, which puts it in strong flagship territory for gaming, multitasking and heavy apps. 16 GB RAM and UFS 4.1 storage keep the experience fast, though the update promise is not among the longest.Camera3.9
This is a strong camera setup with a 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide, 3x optical telephoto and 8K video. The compromise is zoom reach: 3x is useful, but the best phones around this price go further.Display4.1
The LTPO AMOLED panel, 120 Hz refresh rate and 4500 nits peak brightness are excellent for a premium phone. The 1172x2748 cover screen looks sharp, though some rivals at this price step up to higher resolution.Battery4.2
Battery life is a real strength here. The 6000 mAh battery is especially impressive for a foldable, the tested 10h 31m result is decent, and 80W wired plus 40W wireless charging add welcome convenience.Value3.6
It offers a lot for a premium foldable: a large LTPO display, flagship performance, strong cameras and unusually good battery hardware. Even so, ₹124499 is serious money, so it needs those strengths to justify itself.Price history

Pros & cons
What’s good
Excellent foldable battery
The 6000 mAh battery is unusually large for a book-style fold, and 80W charging plus 40W wireless charging make it far easier to live with than many premium foldables.
Big bright inner display
The LTPO AMOLED panel, 120 Hz refresh rate and 4500 nits peak brightness give you a flagship-grade screen that looks vivid indoors and stays readable outdoors.
Strong all-round cameras
You get a 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide and 3x telephoto, plus 8K video. That makes it more versatile than many foldables that cut back on zoom or ultrawide quality.
Fast flagship hardware
It scores about 1.99 million on AnTuTu, which means smooth everyday use and plenty of headroom for demanding games, multitasking and long-term performance.
Premium durability extras
IPX8, IP5X and IPX9-class protection are strong for a foldable, and that helps justify the premium if durability is high on your list.
What’s not
Pricey for 3x zoom
At ₹124499, the camera system is good, but the telephoto reaches 3x optical zoom while some rivals at this level push further with 5x or periscope zoom.
Outer screen is only FHD+
The cover display is sharp enough, but this price tier includes phones with higher-resolution panels that look a bit crisper for text and detailed video.
Update promise trails leaders
4 years of OS updates is solid, but some premium rivals now go much longer, which matters if you plan to keep an expensive phone for many years.

1I own Vivo X fold 5 cn rom (but I live in Europe). I love this device, however, I would advise you to wait 20 days - vivo X fold 6 will come out with better cameras, bigger battery and much more capable cpu.

Honestly i thought the same having to use all Samsung Ultra phones. But to my surprise vivo fold beat my expectations. I do not compare Daytime as most phones are fine. When i compared Night time low light that is where the good camera phones should shine. In my view this vivo fold 5 beat my samsung s24 ultra .

Welcome to the club ! Been using XF5 global since launch, been Amazing , battery life is really good.

The first day I used the fold 7, I panicked and sold it because I killed the battery by noon... The x fold 5 has 2 day battery life and a better camera.
r/Vivou/Spiritual_Nobody_785
I did the same. No regrets. Battery life is insane

1I have decided to go ahead with x fold 5. Since you have used the fold 6, do u think the inner fold screen of vivo is of same quality and reliable as samsung folds

The phone itself is pretty amazing, good camera, excellent battery life (used 14 Pro Max before) and functional software experience. In general day-to-day usage won't feel much, but the software experience has become laggy recently and I have experienced occasional freezes.
r/Vivou/fallendeveloper
For the after sales service of the device you are going to face a lot of challenge, as the technicians themselves aren't trained on how to handle a folding device. Got my screen broken twice in the service center during a simple screen guard change.
