A phone's five category scores and its overall out of five come from the specification sheet we assemble for it and from its live price on Amazon and Flipkart. There is no camera lab and no battery rig here. A camera score reads the sensors and lenses a phone is stated to have; it is not a judgement of photographs taken with it.

That makes a score good at one thing — is this phone sensible for this money, next to everything else at this money — and silent about the things only use reveals: how the software ages, how hot it gets, what the photos actually look like. The method, including what each category is worth, is published on how we rate.

The written verdict, the pros and cons, the owner-sentiment summary and Ask ZuPick AI's answers are generated by an AI model from our own catalogue data. The model is given the phone's specifications and prices and asked to explain them; it is not asked to invent facts, and it is not browsing the web as it writes.

It can still be wrong. It can read a specification sheet badly, miss that two phones share a name, or write a confident sentence about a feature a phone does not have. If something matters to your decision, check it on the shop's page or the manufacturer's before you buy.

Where our data is missing something a score depends on, the phone page says “not rated yet” rather than guessing. Silence there is deliberate.

We read prices every day and re-read both shops while you have a phone page open, so the figure next to a buy button is as current as we can make it. It can still be out of date by the time you arrive: shops change prices during sales without warning, a listing can go out of stock between our read and your click, and a bank offer we cannot see may change what you actually pay.
