The ZuPick verdict

4.3out of 5

Strong buyBest at performance, weakest at camera.

This is an unusually complete performance-focused phone for ₹20,299, pairing exceptional speed with a large battery, fast charging and an excellent display. Camera zoom and selfie video are the main compromises, but they do little to weaken its overall appeal.

Based on specs, expert reviews and owner discussions.

Performance4.7

It reaches about 1.58 million on AnTuTu, far beyond what most phones at this price manage. The Dimensity 8400 Ultra, 8 GB of RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and 5G deliver excellent gaming and multitasking speed.

Camera3.7

The 50 MP main camera combines OIS with a bright f/1.5 aperture, helping with handheld night shots, while 4K 60 fps recording captures smooth, detailed video. The 20 MP selfie camera is decent, but the lack of optical zoom limits versatility.

Display4.2

The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel combines a sharp 1220x2712 resolution with excellent 3200-nit peak brightness. Its 120 Hz refresh rate is smooth, although it is common among similarly priced phones.

Battery4.3

The 6550 mAh battery is substantially larger than the usual 5000 mAh units, while 90W charging is among the quickest options around this price. It lasts nearly 15 hours in the PCMark test and charges from 20% to full in about 34 minutes.

Value4.5

The ₹20,299 base version supplies 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of fast UFS 4.0 storage and performance that comfortably exceeds most direct rivals. Its large battery, premium display characteristics and strong water resistance further improve the deal.

Pros & cons

What’s good

Exceptional gaming performance

The Dimensity 8400 Ultra delivers class-leading power for demanding games and heavy multitasking. UFS 4.0 storage also keeps app launches, installations and large file transfers quick.

Long-lasting fast-charging battery

The 6550 mAh battery comfortably handles a full intensive day and can stretch into a second day with lighter use. The included 90W charger takes it from 20% to full in about 34 minutes.

Bright sharp AMOLED

The 1220x2712 AMOLED display is sharper than the Full HD panels found on many rivals. Its 3200-nit peak brightness, 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support suit outdoor use, gaming and streaming.

Strong everyday durability

IP68, IP66 and IP69 protection provides unusually comprehensive resistance to water and dust. Gorilla Glass 7i adds reassurance against everyday scratches and knocks.

Useful connectivity extras

NFC enables tap-to-pay convenience, while Wi-Fi 6E supports fast connections on compatible networks. Stereo speakers, an infrared blaster and 5G round out a practical feature set.

What’s not

No optical zoom camera

The rear setup has wide and ultra-wide cameras but no dedicated telephoto lens. Its 10x digital zoom loses detail quickly, so it is less suitable for distant subjects and portraits.

Basic selfie video

The 20 MP front camera records at 1080p and 30 fps. That is adequate for calls and casual clips, but content creators may want smoother or higher-resolution selfie footage.

Storage cannot expand

The 256 GB capacity is generous for most buyers, but there is no memory-card expansion. Frequent 4K recording or large game libraries may eventually require storage management.
