Pro Max- this thing is nice. Was at the park earlier and got a chance to test out the camera with some tall apartment buildings. The zoom and quality is leaps better than my old 14 Pro Max. Siri AI is actually useful. Can’t put this thing down.

The ZuPick verdict
The iPhone 18 Pro gets most of the flagship basics right and adds a strong camera setup, fast charging and premium build quality. Its main drawback is simple: at this price, buyers can reasonably expect fewer compromises.

Pros & cons
You get a 48 MP main camera, 48 MP ultrawide and 48 MP telephoto, which is a rare setup even at flagship prices. It gives this phone strong flexibility for daylight detail, wide shots and cleaner zoomed photos.
60W charging is quick for an iPhone, and 25W wireless charging adds real convenience on a premium phone. It is one of the few areas where this model keeps pace well with faster Android rivals.
12 GB RAM and NVMe storage give it plenty of headroom for heavy apps, large games and long-term use. Apple’s top-end hardware also makes this feel like a phone built to stay fast for years.
The 6.3-inch size is easier to manage than many large flagships, while IP68 protection keeps it safer around water and dust. It still feels every bit like a top-tier phone in hand.
At ₹164900, this phone starts from a tough value position. To justify that kind of money, a flagship needs to be exceptional almost everywhere, and this one still makes a few visible compromises.
The 1206x2622 display is sharp, but many ultra-premium rivals move to 1.5K or QHD+ panels. At this price, that lower resolution is one of the clearest trade-offs.
The telephoto camera is useful, but the class above this price increasingly pushes toward longer periscope zoom. If distant subjects matter to you, some rivals reach further with less crop.
What owners say
From Reddit11 pro max 512 (had it since launch day) to an 18 pro max 512. Liking it a lot so far. All my stuff is here and in the same place, everything is faster and works better. Easy to turn on new features I want and turn off things I don’t want.
I game a lot, and the 17 Pro Max would dim after 30 minutes or so, far better than the 14 Pro when it dimmed after a couple minutes, but the 18 Pro Max has not dimmed after over an hour of gaming. That is massive for me.
So I upgraded from my iPhone 13 to the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Have had the 13 since past 4 years and I have great bond with it. But after the battery started giving up, I knew I had to retire it soon. Soon enough, Apple successfully enticed me with an amazing black beast.
The feel of 18PM in hand is honestly incredible. The black finish is exactly what I had always wanted from an iPhone. The right amount deep, subtle and ridiculously clean, with a beautiful finish that looks different depending on how the light hits it.
When the migration was complete, idk what I was expecting the iPhone to be, but I was extremely happy with the feel of the phone. But the experience was astonishingly disappointing as soon as I started to use it. It just felt exactly the same as my 13 with just a better device in my hands.
I had my 18 Pro also do a hard reboot after I trying to use Apple Pay.
Is anyone else’s battery draining super fast? I feel like it’s worse than my 14 pro was before I switched.
I like my burgundy pro max but holy shit is it heavy compared to the 17PM.
