Well so far I have been playing with the iPhone 16e for a couple of days now and have to say it is actually cool for all the hate it gets but there are some slight downsides.

The ZuPick verdict
The iPhone 16e gets the basics right with strong everyday speed, a compact premium build, IP68 protection and dependable video. Its weaker value comes from a 60 Hz display, slow charging and a single rear camera at a price where rivals usually offer more hardware.

Pros & cons
It scores about 1.4 million on AnTuTu, which is solid for this price. NVMe storage also helps apps open quickly and keeps the phone feeling fast over time.
The 6.1-inch body is easier to use one-handed than most rivals in this range. IP68 protection adds peace of mind for long-term daily use.
4K at 60 fps on both rear and front cameras is a real strength. Optical stabilisation helps keep clips steadier when walking or shooting in lower light.
Wireless charging is still not universal even at this price. It makes desk and bedside charging more convenient, even if the speed here is modest.
This is the clearest compromise at nearly ₹60,000. Rivals at this price usually offer 120 Hz, so scrolling and animations will not look as fluid.
There is no ultrawide or telephoto lens here. That limits flexibility compared with similarly priced phones that give you wider shots or cleaner zoom.
20W charging is on the slow side for this segment. A full top-up takes noticeably longer than many Android alternatives around this price.
What owners say
From RedditBattery life is pretty good so far and is supposed to be the biggest battery in a 6.1" iPhone so far.
I used to have a 16e and hated it. Mine was plagued with camera issues 6 months in, and my lower speakers had to be replaced last month too.
I got an iPhone 16e. Worst phone I have ever had. Freezes all the time and full of issues. I don’t recommend
The iPhone 16e feels like an iPhone 14 with a better camera, a noticeably more powerful processor, and much better battery life (my personal favourite).
Despite being the same size as the iPhone 16, it's much lighter and feels compact. If you like smaller, lighter phones, this one’s a pleasure to hold and use.
I was able to score it from Walmart for $349(upgraded from an SE3)and love it, especially the battery life. Some of us don’t want or need all the bells and whistles.
The quality of front camera does weird things like it enhances photo alot and it quality is SOMETIMES shit in lights other than sunlight but idk if its 16e or all higher model phones released by apple
I came from iPhone 13 to 16e. Battery is exceptional for iPhone. Camera is atrocious… I thought it wouldn’t be that big of a difference. It is.
