The ZuPick verdict

4.0out of 5
BuyBest at battery, weakest at camera.

The REDMI Turbo 5 gets a lot right for the money: excellent battery life, very strong speed, a bright sharp display and solid durability. Its main compromise is camera versatility, especially the lack of dedicated zoom.

Based on specs, expert reviews and owner discussions.
Performance4.5
Performance is one of the phone’s biggest selling points. It scores about 2.1 million on AnTuTu, which is well above what many phones at this price manage, and UFS 4.1 storage keeps the whole experience feeling fast.
Camera2.6
The camera setup is decent but clearly behind the best options in this range. You get a 50 MP main camera with optical stabilisation and 4K60 video, but the lack of a telephoto lens holds it back against stronger camera-focused rivals.
Display3.9
This is a strong display for the money: AMOLED, 120 Hz refresh rate, a sharper-than-usual 1268x2756 resolution and 3500 nits peak brightness. It looks premium, though LTPO and QHD+ panels still sit above it.
Battery4.6
Battery life is a major strength here. The 7540 mAh battery is unusually large for this class, the tested 16h 05m endurance is strong, and 100W charging keeps refill times short, though there is no wireless charging.
Value4.2
At ₹44974, it undercuts many premium rivals while still delivering standout battery life, very strong performance and a high-quality display. The weaker zoom setup is the main trade-off for the price.

Pros & cons

What’s good
Huge battery advantage

The 7540 mAh battery is far larger than most phones in this price range. It is built for long days of gaming, navigation and video without constant top-ups.

Very fast overall speed

It scores about 2.1 million on AnTuTu, which puts it comfortably into flagship-level territory for everyday speed and demanding games. UFS 4.1 storage also helps apps open and install quickly.

Bright sharp display

The 1268x2756 screen is sharper than the Full HD panels many rivals still use at this price, and peak brightness of 3500 nits helps outdoors. The 120 Hz AMOLED panel also keeps scrolling and gaming smooth.

Strong durability package

IP68 plus higher water-resistance claims make it better protected than many rivals. That matters if you want a premium phone that feels safer to carry daily.

Fast wired charging

100W charging is properly quick for a battery this large. It cuts down recharge time enough to make the big battery even more practical.

What’s not
No telephoto camera

There is no dedicated zoom lens, which is a real compromise at this price. Rivals with 3x or 5x zoom do a much better job on portraits, events and distant subjects.

No wireless charging

At this price, cable-only charging is a noticeable omission. Several alternatives add the convenience of dropping the phone on a charger at your desk or bedside.

Basic ultrawide setup

The 8 MP ultrawide is serviceable rather than impressive. It is fine for occasional landscape shots, but not a standout camera system for premium buyers.
