The ZuPick verdict
The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G stands out for battery size, durability, and a good large AMOLED display. But in this price range, its camera system, video limits, and slower storage hold it back too much to call it an easy recommendation.

Pros & cons
The 9000 mAh battery is far beyond what most phones at this price offer. It is built for very long days, heavy navigation, gaming, and streaming without constant charging anxiety.
IP68 and IP69 protection is a real premium extra in this range. It adds peace of mind against rain, splashes, and rougher day-to-day use than many rivals can handle.
The 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate feels fluid in everyday use. The 1280x2772 resolution is also sharper than the Full HD panels many alternatives still use.
It scores about 949,000 on AnTuTu, which is around the middle of what this price buys. Day-to-day use should feel quick, with enough headroom for multitasking and mainstream gaming.
A 50 MP main camera and 8 MP ultrawide are acceptable on cheaper phones, but this setup is behind stronger rivals here. The lack of optical stabilisation hurts low-light shots and steadier video.
Video tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, which is a clear step down in a class where 4K recording is widely expected. That makes it a poor fit for buyers who care about video capture.
UFS 2.2 storage is slower than rivals use at this price. App installs, large file transfers, and long-term responsiveness will not feel as snappy as the best options in this range.
NFC is still not universal, but its absence limits tap-to-pay convenience and quick pairing features. At this price, it is a noticeable omission.
