The ZuPick verdict

3.3out of 5
ConsiderBest at performance, weakest at camera.

The REDMI A7 Pro 5G gets the basics right with strong battery life, good everyday speed and modern connectivity. It makes the most sense for buyers who care more about endurance and screen size than camera quality or display sharpness.

Based on specs, expert reviews and owner discussions.
Performance4.0
It scores about 639,000 on AnTuTu, which is a strong result for this price. 5G and UFS 2.2 storage help the phone feel responsive, though 4 GB RAM keeps it a step below the best multitaskers.
Camera2.2
This camera setup is suited to basic photography rather than standout results. Daylight shots should be usable, but the 32 MP main camera, lack of stabilisation and 1080p30 video keep it firmly in the entry-level camp.
Display3.1
The 120 Hz refresh rate keeps movement smooth, and 800 nits is decent for outdoor use. The main compromise is the 900x1600 resolution, which looks softer than Full HD options in this price range.
Battery3.6
The 6300 mAh battery is a real strength and should deliver comfortably long use. Charging at 15W is much slower than the better options in this range, so top-ups need patience.
Value3.6
You get 5G, a very large battery, a smooth 120 Hz display and solid everyday performance for ₹14384. The weaker screen sharpness, basic cameras and 4 GB RAM stop it from being one of the very best deals.

Pros & cons

What’s good
Big smooth display

The 6.9-inch screen and 120 Hz refresh rate make scrolling feel fluid and give videos plenty of room. It is a comfortable setup for browsing, streaming and everyday use.

Strong battery size

The 6300 mAh battery is a clear plus at this price. It should comfortably last a full day for heavy use and can stretch well beyond that with lighter use.

Good everyday speed

It scores about 639,000 on AnTuTu, which is strong for this price. Daily apps should run smoothly, and casual to mid-level gaming will be more comfortable than on basic budget phones.

5G with UFS 2.2

5G support keeps it current for the next few years, and UFS 2.2 storage helps apps open faster than phones using slower storage. That makes the phone feel snappier in regular use.

Long software support

4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates are unusually reassuring in this range. That adds real long-term value for buyers who keep a phone for several years.

What’s not
Low sharpness screen

The 900x1600 display is less sharp than Full HD rivals in this range. Text and fine details will not look as crisp, especially on such a large 6.9-inch panel.

Slow 15W charging

The battery is large, but 15W charging is on the slow side for this segment. A full top-up will take noticeably longer than many alternatives around this price.

Basic camera setup

The 32 MP rear camera with 1080p30 video is fine for simple daylight shots, but it is not a standout camera phone. Low-light photos and video flexibility are limited.

4 GB RAM only

4 GB RAM is enough for calls, messaging and light app use, but it leaves less headroom for heavier multitasking. Power users may notice more app reloads over time.

I have used redmi a7 pro 5g and tbh i wont recommend it. Battery drained realy fast and network also had its own issues. I knew unisoc t8300 was not so popular but I also did not expect this weak performance

This actually looked like a really good deal (the battery almost sold me lol) but then I randomly saw some yt videos and a few reviewers compared it with dimensity 6300. And to my surprise, the latter was slightly more stable and responsive

the redmi a7 pro 5g looked like a great budget phone until i saw how the unisoc t8300 drops performance once it gets hot
