The ZuPick verdict
The Xiaomi 17 gets a lot right: standout performance, a genuinely big battery and a capable triple-camera setup. Its main trade-offs are the shorter zoom reach and a display package that is good rather than class-leading for the price.

Pros & cons
The 6330 mAh battery is unusually large for a flagship, and 100W charging helps it recover quickly. That gives it a real edge over many premium rivals that still trade endurance for slimness.
It scores about 3.45 million on AnTuTu, which is right at the sharp end of flagship performance. Heavy games, demanding camera work and long multitasking sessions should feel effortless.
You get a 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide and a dedicated telephoto, plus 8K video. That makes it more versatile than premium phones that cut back on zoom or secondary cameras.
UFS 4.1 storage keeps app installs, file transfers and game loading very quick. Paired with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, it feels properly high-end day to day.
The telephoto reaches 2.6x optical zoom, which is useful for portraits and closer subjects, but many phones at this price push to 3x, 5x or periscope zoom. That is the clearest camera compromise here.
The OLED panel is sharp and smooth at 120 Hz, but this price level increasingly expects LTPO for more adaptive refresh behaviour. Some rivals also go higher on resolution or brightness.
At ₹129999, this phone sits in a bracket where buyers can expect very few compromises. It is strong in several areas, but it does not clearly outclass cheaper flagships across the board.
