I actually own the Xiaomi 15, and let me share my experience with you so far. To be honest, I’ve had a pretty disappointing experience regarding two major issues, and since it’s a flagship device, I expected much better: The Thermal/Heating Issue: The phone gets uncomfortably hot just from making a WhatsApp video call or using the mobile hotspot to share internet with another phone.

The ZuPick verdict
The XIAOMI 15 gets most flagship essentials right: premium screen, fast performance, strong charging and a versatile camera setup. Its main trade-offs are shorter zoom reach and a support policy that is good rather than best-in-class, but at this price it still lands as a very compelling flagship buy.

Pros & cons
The 6.36-inch LTPO OLED panel combines 120 Hz smoothness with 3200 nits peak brightness, so it feels premium indoors and stays easy to read outdoors.
The 5240 mAh battery is backed by 90W charging and 50W wireless charging. That gives you both quick top-ups and the convenience buyers expect at this price.
You get a 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide and a dedicated telephoto lens, plus 8K video. This is a versatile setup without an obvious weak lens.
It scores about 2.43 million on AnTuTu, which is comfortably in flagship territory. Everyday use is effortless, and demanding games should run very well.
12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage give it plenty of headroom for heavy multitasking, large games and long-term use. UFS 4.0 storage also keeps installs and app launches quick.
The telephoto camera is useful, but this class increasingly includes longer 5x and periscope zoom options. If distant subjects matter to you, some rivals go further.
4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security support are solid, but not class-leading in a segment where the best phones now stretch to much longer support.
What owners say
From Reddit1 year and 2 months of use for me. I think you are lucky. For the Global/EU version - Software is better now than it was when updated to HYOS 3. Build quality is great. I can see it lasting 4 years. Camera are really good if you know how to use them.
The Xiaomi 15 only makes sense if you absolutely need a compact phone. None of its features are high-end in any way; everything is just okay, except for the temperature, which is terrible both during use and while charging. Also, the battery life is way too short for its advertised mAh.
I am also happy with my phone . I am using Xiaomi 15 in 2 month .I am unlock bootloader and install Xiaomi Eu rom 😎 I am very happy 🥳 . I am looking at iqoo13 , oneplus 13s but I am very much satisfied to buy Xiaomi 15 I am buying 50k 🥳
I had some weird heat issues when I first started using the device. From what I can tell, it was related to YouTube. I don't have any heating issues now. I hate the Xiaomi theme store. It feels cheap and spammy. I hate that I can’t uninstall certain apps.
I had the phone for 1 month and sold it for several reasons but not because it's a bad phone. My old S23 got better with updates, OneUI features and S26 Pro / Xiaomi 16 Pro rumours made me wait for an upgrade in 2026. I think it is the best compact Android phone that is sold internationally.
I have been using Xiaomi 15 for a year, it really a nice phone and really cost-effective., yeah it has a really fast speed of charging and a large battery capacity. at least it is enough for my daily life.
I might not be a particularly sophisticated user, but I previously owned an iPhone 13 Pro and, a bit later, a Redmi K60 Pro. Compared to them, the 15 is an almost perfect phone.:)
I have a Xiaomi 15 that I just got in Germany. I have not had any issues with it. The EU version seemed to just not have most of the bloatware stuff. It was trivially easy to turn off the AI integration. The camera has been working great and I have not had any battery problems.
