The ZuPick verdict

3.5out of 5

ConsiderBest at display, weakest at value.

The vivo T5 5G stands out for battery life, a sharp high-refresh AMOLED display, and dependable performance. It is easier to recommend to buyers who care most about endurance and screen quality than to those chasing the best charging speed, zoom camera, or base-variant value.

Based on specs, expert reviews and owner discussions.

Performance3.6

It scores about 1.1 million on AnTuTu, which is a little above the middle of what this price buys. Combined with UFS 3.1 storage, that means reliably quick everyday use and solid gaming, though it is not among the outright fastest options here.

Camera3.2

The camera setup gets the basics right for this price with a 50 MP main camera, optical stabilisation, 4K video, and an 8 MP ultrawide. What holds it back is the lack of a telephoto lens, so it is more versatile than basic camera phones but not a true camera-first pick.

Display4.0

The AMOLED panel already starts from a strong base, and the 1260x2800 resolution is sharper than the Full HD screens many rivals still use. A 144 Hz refresh rate also gives it a smoother feel than the usual 120 Hz crowd.

Battery3.9

A 7050 mAh battery is excellent for this class and should deliver standout endurance. The trade-off is 44W charging, which is clearly slower than the faster-charging phones buyers can get at this price.

Value2.9

You do get a sharp AMOLED display, a very large battery, and good overall speed, but ₹34999 is not especially aggressive for a phone starting at 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. It makes sense if battery life is your priority, less so if you want the strongest all-round deal.

Pros & cons

What’s good

Huge battery reserve

The 7050 mAh battery is far bigger than what most rivals offer in this price range. It is built for very long days, heavy navigation, gaming, and streaming without constant charging anxiety.

Sharp fast AMOLED

The 1260x2800 AMOLED panel is sharper than regular Full HD screens, and the 144 Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and supported games look especially fluid. It feels more premium than many similarly priced displays.

Strong everyday speed

It scores about 1.1 million on AnTuTu, which puts it around the upper middle of this price range. App launches, multitasking, and demanding games should stay smooth for most buyers.

Stabilised main camera

The 50 MP main camera with optical stabilisation should deliver steadier low-light shots and more reliable handheld video. The 8 MP ultrawide also adds flexibility that buyers expect here.

What’s not

Slow charging class

44W charging is well behind the faster options common at this price. With such a large battery, top-ups will take noticeably longer than many direct rivals.

Base variant feels weak

At ₹34999, the 6 GB + 128 GB version looks less generous than many alternatives that start with 8 GB or 12 GB memory. That hurts long-term value for heavy users.

No telephoto camera

You get a useful ultrawide, but there is no dedicated zoom lens. Distant subjects and portraits from farther away will not match the better camera-focused phones in this bracket.
