I have been loving it so far. Battery life has been the most surprising factor yet, as I am getting more than 2x the battery life of my S25 Ultra, and I hope it remains the same as battery life on Samsung phones generally tanks after 3-4 months.

The ZuPick verdict
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra 5G gets you the big-screen foldable experience without giving up flagship performance, battery life or camera versatility. The trade-off is simple: it is excellent, but the price is hard to ignore and some slab rivals offer sharper screens or better zoom for less.

Pros & cons
The 8-inch fold-out screen gives you far more room for reading, split-screen work and video than a regular flagship. It is the clearest reason to choose this phone over a slab model.
It scores about 3.07 million on AnTuTu, which puts it among the fastest phones you can buy. Heavy games, multitasking and long editing sessions should feel effortless.
For a foldable, the 5000 mAh battery is generous, and the tested battery life of 20h 46m is excellent. Wireless charging is included too, which is expected and welcome at this price.
Seven years of OS updates is one of the best commitments available. That matters more at this price, where buyers often keep the phone for a long time.
You get a 200 MP main camera, a 3x telephoto and a 50 MP ultrawide, plus 8K video. That gives it a more complete camera setup than many foldables.
At ₹194999, this phone starts from a tough value position. It has to beat the best slab flagships clearly, and in some areas it does not.
The outer display is only 1080x2520, which is sharp enough but not as crisp as the QHD+ panels many premium rivals offer. At this price, that is a real trade-off.
45W charging is fine, but it is not fast by flagship standards anymore. Buyers spending this much can find phones that refill much quicker.
What owners say
From RedditBeen a fan of the Fold since Fold 2, and since Fold 7, they really made a device that pushed the limits of design, which I love. The Fold 8 Ultra just gives you the things that I wanted: a large 5000mAh battery, fast 45W charging, and an ultra-bright screen. First time the screen is fully no compromise in the summer sun. Very happy so far.
I've sold my S26 for the Fold 8 Ultra and I'm loving it. Battery is great. I have it mostly folded at work but unfolded a lot at home. If you are into playing games it's a real treat on the inner display. It's the coolest piece of tech I've ever owned and people are always amazed by it.
I did find the narrow outer display took me a while to get used to and I do wish it was just a fraction wider but once you get used to it, it quickly just becomes the new normal.
I got the fold 8 ultra because it is almost the same size as my last phone, s21.
I was bamboozled into thinking I could return my fold 8 and order the fold 8 ultra. Long story, I have both and use them for very different things. Crazy? Probably, but I love it. Fold 8, YouTube and media machine. Ultra, work stuff and general phone usage. It's like carrying a dual screen laptop.
Went with the ultra for the size (one handed use is a must) and that fact that i can attach a wallet to the back. The cameras and battery suck on both tbh.
I got the z fold 8 and z fold 8 ultra and ran every app side by side testing the differences. In 90%+ of the cases, the z fold 8 was almost identical if not indistinguishable from the z fold 8 and what was displayed on the screen.
I initially was going for the Passport Fold 8. Coming from a Fold 4 it seemed like a nice good form factor change. However, I soon realized that I can't let go of two things as someone who heavily uses my Fold on the go: (1) being able to use it in folded mode consistently with one hand and (2) having 3 apps open at once during moments when I suddenly have to work or need to coordinate various chats and apps in one glance. So ultimately I went with the Ultra.
