The ZuPick verdict
The Galaxy Z Fold8 5G delivers what foldable buyers want most: a large inner display, flagship speed and long software support. Its main trade-off is that the price is extremely high for a camera and charging package that does not fully lead the class.

Pros & cons
The 7.6-inch inner screen with 120 Hz refresh rate gives you a tablet-like canvas for reading, multitasking and video. It feels meaningfully bigger than any regular flagship.
It scores about 3.25 million on AnTuTu, which is among the fastest results you can buy. Heavy games, editing and split-screen work should all feel effortless.
Samsung promises 7 years of OS updates and 7 years of security updates. That is one of the strongest reasons to buy an expensive phone and keep it for years.
The 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide and 8K video give it a solid flagship camera foundation. Optical stabilisation also helps keep shots steadier in low light.
You get 20W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, both of which are expected at this price and useful in daily use. It avoids a common premium-phone omission.
At ₹179999, this sits in the toughest value position in the market. To justify that, buyers usually expect fewer compromises in zoom, charging and durability.
The telephoto reaches 2x optical zoom, which is usable for portraits and nearby subjects. Rivals at this level more often offer 3x, 5x or periscope zoom with much better reach.
45W charging and a 59-minute top-up are fine, but not standout for a phone this expensive. Several premium Android rivals refill faster.
Water resistance is welcome, but IP48 is still a step behind the IP68 protection many slab flagships offer. At this price, buyers can reasonably expect stronger sealing.
