The ZuPick verdict

2.5out of 5
SkipBest at value, weakest at display.

The large folding screen remains distinctive, and the camera system is versatile enough for everyday use. However, weak comparative performance, slow 25 W charging, modest endurance and a dimmer display create too many compromises at ₹89,999.

Based on specs, expert reviews and owner discussions.
Performance2.4
It scores about 1.02 million on AnTuTu, considerably below what many phones at this price manage. The 12 GB RAM supports multitasking and four years of operating-system updates add longevity, but UFS 3.1 storage is behind newer premium hardware.
Camera3.1
The 50 MP main camera, 12 MP ultrawide and 3x optical zoom provide useful versatility, while 8K video is a genuine strength. However, 3x zoom is ordinary among premium rivals and the 10 MP front camera limits the overall camera package.
Display2.1
Dynamic AMOLED and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate are welcome, but the 904x2316 resolution and 1200-nit peak brightness sit well behind premium display leaders. The expansive folding canvas is useful, though its visual fundamentals are comparatively modest.
Battery2.3
The 4400 mAh dual battery is reasonable for a foldable, but about 12 hours of tested endurance is unremarkable. Charging at 25 W is particularly slow for the money, although wireless charging adds convenience.
Value3.3
At ₹89,999, the large folding display and versatile cameras provide meaningful benefits for buyers who will use the form factor. Its display brightness, battery, charging and performance make it less convincing against conventional premium phones.

Pros & cons

What’s good
Tablet-sized inner display

The 7.6-inch folding screen gives documents, videos and multitasking far more room than a conventional phone. It is the clearest reason to choose this device over a similarly priced slab phone.

Useful triple-camera coverage

The 50 MP main camera is joined by a 12 MP ultrawide and 3x optical zoom. This covers everyday scenes more flexibly than foldables with limited zoom hardware.

Strong video options

8K recording and 4K at 60 fps provide plenty of flexibility for capturing detailed footage. Optical stabilisation helps keep handheld video and low-light photos steadier.

Practical flagship extras

Wireless and reverse wireless charging add everyday convenience. IPX8 water resistance also provides useful protection around rain and accidental splashes.

What’s not
Display trails flagship rivals

The 904x2316 outer screen is noticeably less sharp than Full HD and QHD+ rivals. Peak brightness of 1200 nits also falls well behind the brightest premium displays outdoors.

Slow charging and endurance

The 4400 mAh dual battery delivered about 12 hours in testing, while 25 W charging is slow for ₹89,999. Wireless charging is convenient but does not offset the modest endurance and lengthy top-ups.

Performance has fallen behind

An AnTuTu result of about 1.02 million is low among premium phones, especially for demanding games and sustained workloads. The 12 GB RAM helps multitasking, but UFS 3.1 storage is slower than newer premium alternatives.

Premium price needs compromise

The folding screen is the main justification for the cost. Conventional phones near this price commonly deliver brighter displays, longer battery life, faster charging and substantially higher performance.

What owners say

From Reddit

I have a Fold4 and I love it so far. Its battery is better than I expected. I get through a whole day easily. However, I don't use my phone as much as some other people.

r/GalaxyFoldan owner

My biggest pain point moving from a larger phone (S21 Ultra) to the Fold4 was that the outer display is a lot more narrow in comparison. Typing on it was a pain for a while until I got used to it.

r/GalaxyFoldu/Dandachi

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is soo stable / rugged. The ultra thin glass on the inside takes drops like a champ! Simply be careful with sharp things like nails, knives, etc. Dropped my F4 several times really hard on concrete - nothing appart from some dents.

r/GalaxyFoldu/Abdalla120

It's does last easily my fold 4 is 1 year old with 20 30 fold ls a day and still going strong
