Pocketable folding design

The clamshell body folds into a compact shape that is easier to carry than a conventional 6.7-inch phone. IPX8 water resistance also provides useful protection.

Strong update commitment

Four years of Android updates and five years of security support make it suitable for extended ownership. Samsung’s software commitment is one of its more convincing strengths.

Fast spacious storage

The 256 GB base capacity leaves ample room for apps, photos and downloads. UFS 4.0 storage helps apps install and open quickly.

Convenient wireless charging

It supports 15 W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. That makes desk charging and topping up accessories more convenient.

What’s not

Very limited camera system

There is no optical telephoto camera, while many alternatives offer at least 3x zoom. The 12 MP main camera, 4K30 video and 10 MP selfie camera also trail stronger camera phones.

Weak display figures

The 720x748, 60 Hz screen configuration is neither particularly sharp nor smooth. Peak brightness of 1200 nits is also modest for an expensive phone outdoors.

Short endurance, slow charging

Battery life of 10 hours 41 minutes is near the bottom of this class. The 3700 mAh battery and 25 W charging are restrictive for frequent use away from a charger.
