The ZuPick verdict
This is a compact, fast and unusually long-supported flagship with useful cameras and competitive pricing. Its weak battery showing, slow charging and merely adequate display prevent it from being the most complete choice.

Pros & cons
About 3.11 million on AnTuTu is near the top among premium phones. The 12 GB RAM and quick UFS 4.0 storage also suit demanding apps and multitasking.
Seven years of operating-system and security updates is the longest commitment available. That makes this a particularly sensible phone to keep for several upgrade cycles.
The 6.3-inch body weighs just 167 grams and is 7.2 mm thick, making it easier to carry than most premium phones. IP68 protection adds reassurance against water and dust.
The combination of a 50 MP main camera, 12 MP ultrawide and 3x telephoto covers everyday framing well. Optical stabilisation helps in low light, while 8K recording gives video enthusiasts extra flexibility.
The 4300 mAh battery lasted 11 hours 22 minutes in testing, which is modest for an expensive phone. Heavy users may need a top-up before the end of the day.
A 20–100% charge takes about 72 minutes, far behind faster premium rivals. Wireless charging is useful, but its 15W speed does not solve the long refill time.
The 1080x2340 screen is sharp enough, and 2600-nit peak brightness helps outdoors. However, 120 Hz is now standard at this price, while sharper QHD+ and more advanced adaptive panels distinguish better displays.

From RedditThe Phone literally heats up when using Instagram. I'll Admit this that My city is Hot at 44°C but Using my phone just to scroll Instagram shouldn't heat to 42°C .
My impressions are very positive overall. One UI is by far the best android skin I have EVER used in all my years of sticking with Android phones. Compared to the buggy Oxygen OS One UI blows it out of the water in so many aspects.
One UI is so good that it even does a great job optimizing the battery. I don't know if its the Exynos 2600 chip that does this or the software itself but whatever magic Samsung has done here is doing it wonders and I love it.
the s26 base is pretty solid for what you're looking for. software has definitely improved since the s21 - way less bloat and the ui feels much cleaner now. still not quite pixel-level but it's close enough that most people won't notice day to day.
I got my phone and it's awesome works like a charm! Battery life is getting better by the day since it's learning my behavior
I have the S26 and honestly it's a bit underwhelming at first (especially with the super HDR on). I almost cried cause I hated the camera HAHA but after a few weeks and some tweaks, I'm inlove with it now and considering changing after 5 years haha.
As for the battery life , It takes a while to learn your usage. For the signal, I came from the A56 and I found the S26 better in terms of that.
Everyone is different but i have galaxy s26 base model and absolutely love it and I have heard peoples iphone pro and pro max when it goes dead it doesn't turn back on for a couple hours to the next day no matter how much you try charge it but that could be fixed now i dont know it depends what you really want and what you like.
The galaxy s26 holds up extremely well it's a brilliant phone in my opinion but like I says everyone is different and will have different opinions hope whatever you choose your happy with🙂 x
