The ZuPick verdict
The Galaxy M06 5G is a practical everyday phone with 5G, solid battery life, a usable main camera and excellent long-term software support. Its biggest compromise is the HD+ display, which makes it more of a safe pick than an exciting one in this price range.

Pros & cons
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 with 5G support is well suited to calling, messaging, streaming and everyday apps. It is a sensible setup for buyers moving to 5G without spending too much.
Samsung promises 4 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. That is a real advantage for buyers who want to keep the phone for several years.
The 50 MP main camera with autofocus and f/1.8 aperture should deliver clean daytime shots with quick focus. 1080p at 60 fps also helps for smoother everyday video recording.
The 5000 mAh battery is a dependable size for a full day of regular use. 25W charging is practical and avoids the very slow top-ups seen on weaker options.
Stereo speakers are still a nice extra at this price. They make videos, games and speaker calls more enjoyable than single-speaker phones.
The 720x1600 screen is noticeably less sharp than Full HD rivals in this price range. Text, video and app interfaces do not look as crisp on a 6.7-inch panel.
A 90 Hz LCD feels smoother than 60 Hz, but it is no standout here. Many rivals offer sharper screens, and some step up to AMOLED or faster refresh rates.
The base 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant feels tight for long-term use. Buyers who install many apps or keep lots of media should aim for the 6 GB or 128 GB version.
The main camera can handle casual shots, but night photos need a steady hand and careful lighting. The 2 MP secondary camera adds little real value.
What owners say
From RedditI have m06 even its camera lags 😭😭 i am regretting after purchasing it 15k tak ka koi accha phone le lena chahiye tha
I bought a Samsung Galaxy M06 (4GB/128GB) about 20 days ago and I'm trying to decide whether to keep it or return it. My previous phone (Redmi 9A) and another phone I have (Tecno Spark 8C) seem to perform better on Jio inside my house.
The bigger concern is that with my older phone I don't remember having "not reachable" issues, but with the M06 some callers say the phone is not reachable when I'm inside the house.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy M06 5G recently. I inserted a Jio 5G SIM, but now the data stops suddenly for a few seconds (30-40 seconds) and then automatically comes back again.
Don't go for a cheap laggy phone just because it's for your parents y'all
