What’s good

5G with clean basics

5G support, Android 15 and Samsung’s software make it a sensible everyday phone for calling, messaging, payments and streaming. The promise of 4 years of OS and security updates adds long-term peace of mind.

Reliable all-day battery

The 5000 mAh battery is a safe, familiar size for this class and is enough for a full day of regular use. 25W charging is decent for topping up without feeling too slow.

Usable main camera

The 50 MP main camera with autofocus does a good job in daylight and is easy to use for casual photos. 1080p at 60 fps is also nice for smoother everyday video clips.

Practical extras included

IP54 splash resistance, a side fingerprint sensor and a 3.5 mm headphone jack make daily use more convenient. Expandable storage is also helpful if you keep lots of offline media.

HD+ display only

The 720x1600 screen is noticeably less sharp than Full HD rivals in this price range. Text and video look fine at a glance, but competing phones can look crisper.
