The ZuPick verdict

4.1out of 5
Strong buyBest at display, weakest at value.

The POCO X7 5G stands out as a feature-rich all-rounder in this price range. Its display, performance and main camera are all notably strong, and the battery and build quality keep the package well balanced.

Based on specs, expert reviews and owner discussions.
Performance4.5
Performance is strong for this price. It scores about 647,000 on AnTuTu, which translates to smooth everyday use, fast app switching and good results in heavier games with sensible settings.
Camera4.1
The camera setup is a real strength for the segment. A 50 MP main camera with OIS, autofocus, a bright f/1.5 lens and 4K video gives it a clear edge for sharper photos and steadier low-light shots.
Display4.7
This is one of the better screens you can get at this price. The AMOLED panel, 120 Hz refresh rate, sharp 1220x2712 resolution and very high brightness make it excellent for video, reading and outdoor use.
Battery3.7
Battery life is comfortably dependable rather than standout. The 5500 mAh battery and 45W charging make it easy to get through a full day and top up without much waiting.
Value3.2
You are paying more than entry options in this range, but the package justifies much of it with a better display, stronger performance, OIS camera and premium durability features.

Pros & cons

What’s good
Excellent AMOLED display

The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel is sharp at 1220x2712 and runs at 120 Hz, so scrolling, video and gaming all look smooth and crisp. Peak brightness of 3000 nits also helps a lot outdoors.

Strong everyday performance

It scores about 647,000 on AnTuTu, which is among the better results in this price range. Combined with 8 GB RAM, 5G and UFS 2.2 storage, it feels fast in daily use and handles demanding apps well.

Capable main camera

The 50 MP main camera gets a big boost from OIS and a bright f/1.5 lens. Daylight shots should come out detailed, and low-light photos have a better chance of staying sharp than many rivals here.

Reliable battery setup

The 5500 mAh battery is comfortably above the usual 5000 mAh mark, and 45W charging is quick enough to avoid long top-up waits. It is a practical setup for full-day use.

Premium durability extras

IP68 protection and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 are standout features at this price. They add real peace of mind for buyers who want a phone that feels tougher than average.

What’s not
Price is on higher side

At ₹17999, this phone sits close to the top of the segment. That makes the value less aggressive than cheaper options that still offer 5G, big batteries and smooth displays.

Battery life is good, not class-leading

The battery is large, but the tested endurance is more solid than exceptional. Heavy users will still get through a day, though some rivals stretch further.

Extra cameras are basic

The main camera does the heavy lifting here. The 8 MP ultra-wide and 2 MP macro are more for occasional use than consistently strong results.

I decided on poco x7 because I had so much fond memories of xiaomi phone, and it was at budget pricepoint. But oh boy, xiaomi software is biggest pile of shit now.

r/PocoPhonesan owner

The software experience is worst I have ever encountered on an android phone. And I have used a TCL phone as my google maps/second phone that I got for free from my network provider.

I did a review on it and what you get for the price is insane! Absolutely insane! IP68 Rating,12-bit OLED screen with Dolby Vision! Even most flagships don't get that. Stereo speakers are nice. Performance is okay with the Dimensity 7300.

The problem of that phone is the software. It's atrocious. Full of ads, sluggish, not smooth, full of bloatware - so many pre-installed apps and some of them you cannot even uninstall.
