Earlier my phone only used to lag a bit when battery saver mode was on, but after this new update the phone hangs almost all the time. Pulling down the notification bar feels super slow, apps freeze randomly, and overall performance has become terrible.

The ZuPick verdict
The POCO X6 Neo 5G gets a lot right for its price, especially with its AMOLED display, slim design and dependable day-to-day performance. Its weaker battery showing and basic video recording stop it from being an easy top-tier pick, but it remains a sensible mid-range choice.

Pros & cons
The 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate looks smooth and vibrant. The 1080x2400 resolution keeps text, videos and social feeds crisp.
It scores about 446,000 on AnTuTu, which is comfortably good for daily use in this price range. Apps open quickly, multitasking feels stable, and casual gaming runs well.
The 108 MP main camera, bright f/1.75 lens and autofocus help it capture detailed daylight shots. It is a good fit for social media photos and general point-and-shoot use.
At 175 grams and 7.69 mm thick, it feels easier to carry than many big-battery rivals. The IP54 splash resistance also adds some everyday peace of mind.
UFS 2.2 storage helps with faster app installs and smoother loading than basic storage options. The 128 GB and 256 GB variants also give buyers useful flexibility.
The 5000 mAh battery is standard for this segment, but the tested endurance is not a standout. It should get through a day, though heavier users may still reach for the charger by evening.
33W charging is practical rather than especially fast now. It is fine for top-ups, but some rivals refill quicker.
The rear camera tops out at 1080p at 30 fps. That is enough for casual clips, but it falls behind phones that offer smoother 1080p60 or 4K recording.
What owners say
From RedditThey changed the charging notification style to something that looks more like iPhone, which is fine, but the actual phone performance has become much worse after the update. Even basic actions now feel delayed and stuttery.
It has been 7-10 days . The phone has been discharging like it used to but charging is taking time now
Ive bought a poco x6 neo 5g last month. It has MIUI 14 now. i have update for hyperos. should i just update? or there will be fast battery drainaze issues and nerfing performance and camera?
I updated my mom's phone which is x6 neo , guess what there's nothing more than simply animations, though I am wondering my poco x5 pro will get HyperOS update or not.
No I haven't found any issues and yes I just got the hyperos update for my x5 pro.
The X6 neo uses a mediatek chipset, has only one useful camera without OIS, doesn't have stereo speakers. I would go for the X6 personally.
