Despite the plastic frame the phone feels very good in the hand. I'm not using a case and I don't have any scratch on the frame and I work in construction so I leave my phone on a lot of surfaces.

The ZuPick verdict
The Nothing Phone 4a gets a lot right, especially with its display, camera flexibility and comfortably above-average performance. It falls short of the best buys here mainly because charging speed, battery package and base value are less aggressive than some rivals.

Pros & cons
The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel pairs a sharp 1224x2720 resolution with 120 Hz refresh rate, so scrolling looks smooth and text looks crisper than on many Full HD rivals. Peak brightness of 4500 nits also helps a lot outdoors.
It scores about 1.2 million on AnTuTu, which is comfortably above the middle of what this price usually buys. Day-to-day use feels fast, and demanding games should run well with sensible settings.
The camera setup covers the basics properly and then goes further with optical stabilisation, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 3.5x periscope zoom. That gives it more shooting flexibility than most phones around this price.
The 5400 mAh battery and tested life of about 14 hours 42 minutes are enough for a full day without stress. It is dependable for heavy mixed use and should be comfortable for lighter users too.
50W charging is usable rather than standout in this bracket, where faster systems are common. A full top-up taking about 1 hour 11 minutes feels average at best for the money.
Everything is cable-only here. That is still common enough, but it does leave out one of the nicer premium extras some alternatives offer.
IP64 is fine for splashes and dust, but it is not the stronger water resistance that helps some rivals stand out. Buyers keeping a phone for years may want better protection.
What owners say
From RedditBro, first of all you are getting sd 7s gen 4, even after spending close to 30k, secondly only 5400 mah battery, with only 50 wattage charger, and that too we have to buy differently, plus oneplus is giving 8s gen 3
Same experience! My only issue is with the battery drain but the UI is buttery smooth! Display is just fantastic!
Yes that is real. Battery drain is quite too much on it. Overnight 8-12 percent with always on display. They should definitely fix it!
I got my 4a yesterday. When I ordered it, I also bought a case and a screen protector. While unpacking the 4a, I was very surprised that it's not only a cable inside the box—the phone even comes with its own case.
I bought the 8/128GB model—I don’t need more than that. It’s still a bargain for a bloatware-free phone from a non‑major brand these days, in my opinion.
I felt the green is a bit oversaturated, otherwise I felt the camera to be fine.
It is good especially in good lighting condition. Though there are phones that do better in the camera dept. like the Vivo V series or the Google Pixel lineup.
This thing is bugging like this it hasn't even been a month and it pops a message which is not visible in the screen recording that nothing launcher failed 😭 regretting the buy already
The device has only gone through one battery cycle so far, but it looks very promising. During that cycle I achieved eight hours of screen-on time with mixed use of Wi-Fi and 5G.
