The ZuPick verdict

3.1out of 5
ConsiderBest at battery, weakest at performance.

The Oppo Reno16c 5G stands out for battery life, durability and a genuinely useful telephoto camera. The trade-off is that performance and charging feel more upper-midrange than premium, so it makes sense only if endurance and zoom matter more to you than raw speed.

Based on specs, expert reviews and owner discussions.
Performance2.5
This is the clearest compromise. It scores about 1 million on AnTuTu, which is modest for this price, and UFS 3.1 storage is now a step behind the faster storage many premium rivals use. Day-to-day use should still feel smooth, but it is not a power phone.
Camera3.4
The camera setup is more versatile than average thanks to the 3.5x optical zoom, optical stabilisation on the main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide and a strong 50 MP selfie camera. The main limitation is video topping out at 4K30 when stronger rivals offer 4K60 or better.
Display2.6
The AMOLED panel and 120 Hz refresh rate keep it smooth and pleasant to use, but the 1080x2372 resolution is only Full HD and peak brightness of 1400 nits is below what better rivals now offer. This is fine, not standout, for the money.
Battery4.1
Battery life is a real strength. The 6500 mAh cell is larger than most phones in this class, and the tested 21h 13m result is excellent, though 45W charging and no wireless charging stop it short of the very best.
Value2.6
At ₹53999, it asks premium money while giving back a mixed package. The battery life and telephoto camera help, but the weaker performance, slower charging and lack of wireless charging make the value less convincing than the best buys nearby.

Pros & cons

What’s good
Huge battery life

The 6500 mAh battery is unusually large for this price, and the tested 21h 13m endurance is excellent. It is built for long days, travel and heavy screen time.

Useful telephoto camera

A 3.5x optical zoom lens is a real advantage over many rivals that still skip telephoto entirely. It is much better for portraits, stage shots and subjects across a room.

Premium durability

IP69 protection adds strong resistance against dust and water. That gives it a tougher, more reassuring feel than many premium phones that are less rugged.

Sharp selfie setup

The 50 MP front camera is stronger than what many phones in this range offer. It is a good fit for video calls, selfies and creator use.

What’s not
Weak chipset class

The performance level is low for a phone above ₹50,000. AnTuTu of about 1 million is well behind what stronger rivals in this range deliver.

Dim display brightness

Peak brightness of 1400 nits is merely adequate here, and the typical 600 nits figure is modest. Outdoor visibility is not as strong as the better premium options.

Only 45W charging

Charging is on the slow side for this segment, where many alternatives refill much faster. The big battery helps endurance, but top-ups are less impressive.

No wireless charging

At this price, cable-only charging is a clear compromise. Several rivals add the convenience of dropping the phone on a charger instead.
