The ZuPick verdict

Pros & cons
The 6000 mAh battery is a real strength at this price. It should comfortably last a full day for heavy use and can stretch further for lighter users.
The 120 Hz refresh rate makes scrolling feel smoother than basic 60 Hz phones. It helps everyday use feel more responsive, especially in apps and menus.
You get 5G support along with UFS 2.2 storage, so app installs and loading times feel quicker than older budget phones with slower storage.
The 50 MP rear camera with autofocus is good enough for daylight shots, documents and casual social media photos. It covers the basics better than entry-level camera setups.
The 720x1600 display is the biggest compromise here. Text and videos will not look as sharp as the Full HD options that are now common in this range.
Charging is on the slower side for the segment. With a large 6000 mAh battery, top-ups will take patience compared with faster-charging rivals.
4 GB RAM is enough for calling, messaging and light app use, but it is not ideal for heavier multitasking. Apps are more likely to reload in the background.

How good is the Lava Shark 2 value for money?
We score it 3.8 out of 5 for value for money. At ₹12990, the phone offers a good mix of 5G, a 6000 mAh battery and UFS 2.2 storage. The weaker screen and modest memory keep it from being one of the very best bargains, but the package still makes sense for practical buyers.
How good is the Lava Shark 2 battery?

How good is the Lava Shark 2 display?
We score it 3.0 out of 5 for display. The 120 Hz refresh rate keeps scrolling smooth, but the 720x1600 LCD panel is a clear step down in sharpness from Full HD rivals. It is fine for basic use, just not a standout screen for this price.
