I recently got myself a new Lava Yuva 2 5G from Flipkart, the box looked pretty weird at the first glance itself. Although it had the seals, it's a cheap cardboard box with flap-openings on both the sides.

The ZuPick verdict
The Lava Yuva 2 is a simple budget phone that gets the essentials right for light everyday use. Its main strengths are price, battery life and a smoother-than-basic display, while performance and camera quality stay modest.

Pros & cons
At ₹6687, this sits in the more affordable part of the market. It covers the basics well for calls, messaging, online classes and everyday use without stretching the budget too far.
The 90 Hz screen makes scrolling feel smoother than a regular 60 Hz panel. For social apps, browsing and general navigation, the phone feels a bit nicer to use day to day.
The 5000 mAh battery is the standard sweet spot for this price. It should comfortably handle a full day of calling, chatting, video watching and light app use.
The 13 MP rear camera has autofocus and an f/1.8 lens, which helps with clearer shots in daylight. Full HD video recording is also good to have for basic family clips and casual use.
You still get practical extras like a side fingerprint sensor, 3.5 mm headphone jack and expandable storage up to 512 GB. These are the kind of features that make a budget phone easier to live with.
With 3 GB RAM and entry-level hardware, this phone is best kept to light use. Heavy games, lots of multitasking and demanding apps will feel slow.
The 720x1600 display is fine for video and messaging, but on a 6.75-inch screen text and images will not look especially sharp. It is more about size than crispness.
The 13 MP main camera is enough for simple outdoor photos, but it is not built for rich detail or strong low-light shots. The 5 MP selfie camera is also quite basic.
What owners say
From RedditAnd I got a 12W adapter with it while the mobile supports 18W fast charging, unfortunately I noticed this fact after the return period got over. Can someone who has bought this phone please confirm the above details
I had high hopes for the Lava Yuva 2 5G, , but honestly, it’s a letdown. The UNISOC T760 chip feels underpowered and outdated, and while 4GB RAM and 128GB storage sound good on paper, the phone struggles with multitasking and gaming.
The dealbreaker for me? It only supports Jio 5G, super limiting. We all know that there are phones in the same or lower price range with better processors, so why one shouldn't opt for that?
Upon my knowledge till date, Lava phones can be a hit or miss most of the time. The Lava Yuva 2 5g, for example, feels quite underwhelming. Credit to the ultimate bad Unisoc chipset, limited RAM, mediocre cameras, and Jio-only 5G support make it hard to recommend
