Upgraded from a 3yo Redmi (RN7pro). I removed/ disabled most preinstalled apps (adb not needed). There is a freeze function to restrict apps from background usage, which is great and I put it to use immediately.

The ZuPick verdict
Extreme charging speed and generous memory stand out, but this phone gives up too much in display quality, optical zoom, video capability and premium charging features against current alternatives.

Pros & cons
The 150W charging system is among the fastest options at this price. It can reach 50% in 5 minutes, making brief top-ups genuinely useful.
The 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage combination provides ample room for multitasking, large games and media. UFS 3.1 storage also keeps apps responsive.
The 50 MP main camera has optical stabilisation, helping produce steadier low-light photos and smoother handheld footage.
The 120 Hz AMOLED panel is smooth, but its Full HD resolution and 1000-nit peak brightness trail sharper and brighter rivals at this price.
There is no telephoto camera, so portraits and distant subjects rely on digital cropping. Many alternatives offer dedicated 3x or even 5x zoom.
Rear video tops out at 4K30, while 4K60 is common among competing premium phones. The 16 MP front camera is also relatively modest.
The 4500 mAh battery is smaller than many current alternatives, and there is no wireless charging. The extremely fast wired charging partly offsets this limitation.
What owners say
From RedditPower: Ok. Takes about 10/15 minutes to charge 30/40%. I try to keep it between 20-80% battery levels. Can get by day to day normal uses with this much. For 20 minutes of gaming it consumes 6/7% of battery
Performance: Cant handle 60 fps in Genshin, but 30 fps with everything else on medium works fine. The gameplay also seem much much smoother than 30 fps than Redmi. Was expecting better tbf.
Heat management: Fantastic. Not over heating even after 1 hour of gaming. Indoor use, tried both with and without AC.
I upgraded from RN7 pro to the base 8/128 model. This review is after using few months. The camera hardware is nice, but for best results, shoot manually. Inbuilt auto hdr and ai optimisations are aggressive and often results in artificial looking shots.
The battery is great, expect minimum 9/10 hour sot if not gaming. Amazing device for gaming, no heating issues, can play hours on. I would recommend to go for it.
Hii, I'm in India, and I got the Indian version from an official Realme brick and mortar outlet. Its working fine and I do not have any problems.
So I got the battery replaced and it's still shit. I get 5 hrs sot being an absolute angel to it, imagine if I even played codm or something
Yes absolutely go for it, camera is waaaay better, I was so impressed by its night mode shots and have faced no issues with 5g
