The ZuPick verdict
The realme 16x 5G gets attention with its huge battery and smooth refresh rate, but the rest of the package feels out of step with what this budget should deliver. The display, camera setup and value are the main reasons it falls short.

Pros & cons
Battery life is the main attraction here. The 7000 mAh cell is far larger than what most phones in this price range offer, so it is built for long days, travel and heavy screen time.
The 144 Hz screen makes scrolling and supported games feel more fluid than the usual 120 Hz panels. That helps everyday use feel snappier even if the panel itself is not a premium one.
It scores about 632,000 on AnTuTu, which is around the lower-middle part of what this budget buys. Daily apps, social media and casual gaming should run fine without much trouble.
45W charging is solid for a battery this large. A full top-up still takes time because of the huge cell, but the charging speed is reasonable for the capacity.
This is the biggest weakness at ₹28,999. The 720x1570 LCD is noticeably less sharp than the Full HD AMOLED screens many rivals offer, so text, video and overall visual quality feel behind the class.
The 50 MP main camera is basic for this price, with 1080p video only and no optical stabilisation. It can handle daylight shots, but low-light photos and video quality are not strong points.
Starting at 4 GB RAM feels cramped in this segment, especially for long-term use. Even the 6 GB variants are only adequate when many rivals offer 8 GB as a better baseline.
The hardware mix does not line up well with a ₹28,999 asking price. You are paying near the top of the range for a phone with clear compromises in screen quality, memory and cameras.
