The ZuPick verdict

4.1out of 5
Strong buyBest at value, weakest at camera.

The realme GT 7 stands out for endurance, wired charging, speed and display quality while remaining close to the bottom of this competitive price range. Its camera reach and cable-only charging are clear trade-offs, but the complete package remains compelling.

Based on specs, expert reviews and owner discussions.
Performance4.2
It reaches about 2.1 million on AnTuTu, delivering high-end gaming and multitasking speed. The 12 GB RAM, fast UFS 4.0 storage and four years of operating-system updates make it suitable for extended ownership.
Camera3.6
The 50 MP main camera, 8 MP ultrawide, 32 MP selfie camera and 8K video provide a strong overall toolkit. The 2x telephoto lens is the main compromise because several rivals offer longer 3x or 5x reach.
Display4.3
The LTPO AMOLED panel, sharp 1264x2780 resolution and 6000-nit peak brightness are premium strengths. Its 120 Hz refresh rate is smooth, though faster 144 Hz displays still have an edge for gaming.
Battery4.1
The 7000 mAh capacity, 16-hour-37-minute tested endurance and 120W charging form an excellent wired setup. Cable-only charging prevents it from reaching the very top.
Value4.4
At ₹41180, the phone delivers unusually strong battery life, performance and display quality for the money. Wireless charging and longer optical zoom are the main features sacrificed to reach that price.

Pros & cons

What’s good
Exceptional battery and charging

The 7000 mAh battery delivered 16 hours 37 minutes in testing, making it particularly dependable for long days. Its 120W charging can reach 50% in 14 minutes.

Fast sustained performance

It reaches about 2.1 million on AnTuTu, comfortably above what most phones at this price manage. The 12 GB RAM and UFS 4.0 storage keep demanding games, installations and multitasking responsive.

Bright LTPO display

The 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display combines a sharp 1264x2780 resolution with smooth 120 Hz motion. Peak brightness of 6000 nits helps it remain readable under harsh outdoor light.

Versatile video capabilities

The rear cameras support 8K recording and 4K at up to 120 fps, while the front camera can capture 4K60 video. Optical stabilisation helps keep handheld footage steadier.

Strong water protection

IP69 protection provides more reassurance against water and dust than many similarly priced phones. That makes it better suited to travel and outdoor use.

What’s not
Limited optical zoom

The telephoto camera reaches only 2x optical zoom. It is useful for portraits, but competing phones with 3x or 5x lenses preserve more detail across rooms and at events.

No wireless charging

Charging is cable-only despite the premium positioning. The very fast 120W wired system softens the inconvenience but does not replace charging-pad compatibility.

Large and fairly heavy

The 6.78-inch body weighs 206 grams, so it will feel substantial during one-handed use. Buyers seeking a compact premium phone should look elsewhere.

I had GT 7 Global version for about 3 weeks. Display was very good, great brightness even in direct sun, UI was flawless, but what I noticed is camera uses way too much AI, but it is fine. Heard a lot about battery drain, but I was getting about 7 hours of screen on time daily, which is good for me.

I've had the Realme GT 7 (12/512 GB) since September. I wouldn't trade this phone for any other. Everything works brilliantly. If I were to buy a smartphone today, I would choose this exact model. The only downside is that a 120W charger isn't included in the box, but that's due to European Union regulations, not the manufacturer's fault.

From GT 7 group By Levi (me) Issues in Update of 16.0.5.700 1. Battery Drain (too much) 2. Heating like iron box 3. Camera performance degraded and even processing is worse than ever till now 4. HDR video converts display to warm colour

I bought it my GT 7 on 18 Feb 2026. As of typing, I have only installed only one update after purchase. Because I was worried of possible bugs and battery drains, as reported by some redditors and realme community users. And so far, the phone is really good and I think it's worth my ₹36,999/-. I use charging limit to 80% and it easily lasts me from early morning to university hours till bed time when I charge it. But yes, I wish Screen On Time was just a tad bit better.
