I have a Moto G85 5g which was the best purchase of my life, never a problem, infinite battery and a camera that satisfies me. I received Android 15 and it runs smoothly, the screen is wonderful. Never a problem and I've even run several games on it.

The ZuPick verdict
The Moto G85 5G gets the basics right and adds a few standout touches, especially its display and main camera. It is a well-rounded choice for buyers who want a polished daily-use phone without stepping above this budget.

Pros & cons
The 6.67-inch OLED screen combines a sharp 1080x2400 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits peak brightness. It looks smooth, vibrant and stays easier to read outdoors than many rivals.
The 50 MP main camera gets OIS, autofocus and a bright f/1.8 lens, which is a strong combination in this price range. Daylight shots should look clean, and low-light photos get better stability than usual.
It scores about 472,000 on AnTuTu, which is solid for this price. Combined with 8 GB RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, daily apps, multitasking and casual gaming should feel comfortably smooth.
At 172 grams and 7.59 mm thick, this phone is easier to hold than many big-battery alternatives. The curved design and in-display fingerprint sensor also make it feel more premium than its price suggests.
The 5000 mAh battery is paired with 33W charging, which is a sensible setup for daily use. It should last a full day for most people and top up at a reasonable pace.
The 5000 mAh battery is fine, but endurance is more full-day than standout. If you want a phone that regularly stretches deep into a second day, there are stronger options.
Rear video tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, which feels modest at this price. Buyers who care about sharper video or smoother 60 fps capture may find it restrictive.
At ₹17840, the Moto G85 5G is paying more for polish than raw specs. It gets several nice touches, but some rivals offer stronger battery or performance value for the money.
What owners say
From RedditIf you don't care about the stylus that much, I'm happy with my g85 5G. The only complaint i have is the curved screen that can break easily (and since its a poled its prone to burning in), but for the price the specs are amazing. I've had it since July last year and it's still not lagging! No complaints about the battery either.
Been using G85 (Indian Version 12/256) for the past 8 months and I'm really loving this. I came here despite the negative reviews about slow updates because I was tired of BBK pushing ads and bloatware. I'm okay with receiving updates every 2 months. I get 8-9 hours of SOT and it easily lasts me a whole day and sometimes even more if it's a busy day.
The camera while not the greatest performs decently in well lit situations. While Motorola still lacks in the Camera department, I'd still choose this over any Oppo or Vivo phones because I hate their AI post processing which would make me look like an out of place Geisha with that horrible make-up effect. This phone does have its cons like heating up (40-45°C) but so does every other phone in this tropical climate.
This is my Moto G85, probably the first true budget yet premium feeling phone that I'm liking a lot! It's been a few days with this beauty and the form factor feels so good to hold! The cameras are really nice considering the price. But yes thr processor is super old and just a rebranded SD695 chip and it shows its age when taking photos, as the output photo takes 1-2 seconds to fully load in gallery.
Other than this, the whole UI is fluid as butter and hardly I have noticed any hiccups in heavy and unpolished apps like reddit (you just have to turn off video autoplay). I am using it as my portable internet browser and movie machine with a 1TB sdcard and lots of movies and TV shows loaded on it. It works superb as a phone as well!
Just completed 1 year with my Moto G85 and honestly, it’s been a really good experience. Totally worth the price – smooth performance, nice display, and overall reliable for daily use. There are a couple of quirks though: sometimes it struggles with signal reception, and because of the curved screen I’m always paranoid about dropping it.
Unfortunately I may have to return this G85 back already ☠️ The screen and camera I've noticed to be incredible pale. Almost like an over-exposure and lacking a lot of colour. The audio for something containing Dolby Atmos is absolutely horrible. Watching YouTube videos the sound is really hollow and when on Spotify the music is really quiet even when on full volume.
I'm using Moto G85 for a month now and it's the best phone under 20k I ever used ( I change mobile every 6-8 months ) Can't comment about other mobiles as I haven't used them yet but G85 is a good choice
Moto G85 user here. It's butter smooth and runs daily apps like phonepe, gmail, swiggy, spencers, reddit, Facebook, whatsapp without any issues or stutter. I am actually thinking of buying its previous version g84 as well. Not because I don't like the G85, but because the g84 has same processor along with fm radio and nfc!
