I've been using the UK variant of the Edge 70 Pro, known as Edge 70 Pro Plus in India, for a couple of days, comparing it to the Edge 60 Neo (the only other Motorola I have to hand at the moment).

The ZuPick verdict
This is a well-rounded premium phone with a bright 144 Hz display, long battery life, fast performance and useful 3.5x optical zoom. Its main concessions are the plastic rear, modest wireless charging speed and three Android version updates.

Pros & cons
The 1272x2772 AMOLED display is sharper than standard Full HD panels, while 144 Hz keeps scrolling and gaming exceptionally fluid. Peak brightness of 5200 nits also supports clear outdoor viewing.
The 6500 mAh battery delivered 14 hours 11 minutes in testing, making it well suited to long days. Fast 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging cover both speed and convenience.
It scores about 2.2 million on AnTuTu, placing it among the faster choices around this price. Its 12 GB RAM and UFS 4.1 storage support quick app launches and demanding games.
The three 50 MP rear cameras cover standard, ultrawide and 3.5x optical zoom shooting. Optical stabilisation and 4K 60 fps recording make the system useful for both photos and video.
IP68 and IP69 protection provides unusually comprehensive resistance to water and dust. That adds reassurance for travel and long-term daily use.
Three Android version updates trail the four-to-seven-year commitments offered by some rivals. Five years of security updates soften the issue but do not fully close the gap.
The plastic back is less premium than the glass or metal finishes commonly expected at this price. Its slim 7.19 mm body and 190-gram weight help compensate in everyday handling.
Wireless charging is convenient, but 15W is considerably slower than the wired 90W option. Buyers who charge wirelessly most of the time will need more patience.
What owners say
From RedditIt has great build quality, lovely screen. The curved edges are much more reduced in comparison to the Edge 60 Pro and 50 Pro.
Cameras are generally excellent, especially in daylight. The Telephoto lens produces great results, especially at 7-10x where Moto AI helps.
Surprisingly the low-light capability of the main lens is worse than the Edge 60 Neo in both Photo and Video. The Lytia 710 is meant to have better light pickup compared to the 700C in the 60 Neo, but every low light photo and video looks considerably darker and lacking in detail.
The speakers are both quieter and muddier than the Edge 60 Neo. The presets are also quite odd in that each of them adds a "spatial audio" echo, even with the setting disabled.
Overall it's a nice phone that I got with a decent discount, but it's definitely not worth the £750 price tag. I'd recommend it if it were £400 or lower.
Nice. This is the Edge 70 Pro Plus for our Indian chums.
It's a weird one. The Edge 70 Pro Plus is for India only, but it's identical to the Edge 70 Pro sold elsewhere.
Performance is excellent, bloatware has been kept to a minimum compared to other Motorola's, which is good considering the high RRP of £750 in the UK.
The handset has received a firmware update on first boot, but it's still a bit buggy. The colours don't change with the wallpaper automatically, the colour option has to be tapped after changing the wallpaper.
