I’ve had it about a week now. I think it’s great. Pros: the charging speed is insane. Seriously. I plugged it in around 80% and I swear it was full in like 2 minutes.

The ZuPick verdict
This is a polished premium phone that gets most things right and adds extras buyers at this price care about, especially wireless charging, telephoto zoom and a strong display. Its main trade-offs are the smaller battery and shorter software support than the best long-term rivals.

Pros & cons
125W charging is among the quickest in this class, and 50W wireless charging is a real premium extra. It is convenient both at your desk and on a bedside charger.
The 1220x2712 OLED panel is sharper than plain Full HD options, 144 Hz scrolling feels very fluid, and 2500 nits helps outdoors. It looks and feels properly flagship-grade.
The telephoto lens gives you proper optical reach for portraits and distant subjects. The 50 MP ultrawide also avoids the weak secondary cameras many rivals still use.
It scores about 1.4 million on AnTuTu, which is comfortably in premium-phone territory. 12 GB RAM and UFS 4.0 storage keep multitasking and app loading snappy.
IP68 protection, Wi-Fi 7, NFC and stereo speakers round out the package well. These details matter when you are paying flagship money and planning to keep the phone for years.
4500 mAh is on the smaller side for this price. The fast charging helps a lot, but rivals with bigger batteries can last longer away from the plug.
3 years of Android updates is fine, but several rivals at this price go further. That matters if you plan to keep the phone for four years or more.
Performance is fast, but this is not one of the absolute highest-performing phones in the segment. Heavy gamers can get more raw headroom elsewhere.
What owners say
From RedditThe cameras are fantastic, especially the selfie cam. I came from a iPhone 15PM and I think the Ultra takes better pics, especially the selfie cam, and in poor lighting situations.
Bad: No AOD. I got used to have the AOD and I wish Motorola would enable it. It smells. Yeah, you read that right. It stinks.
Speakers on the edge 40 pro are superior to the 50 ultra both in loudness and amount of bass. I think they could fix it with software.
I'm using it for almost 4 months now, bought it on the first sale, Pro Charging speed Good display and speakers Vanilla android (with some moto gestures, which is pretty good) Camera - actual useful lenses, I particularly liked telephoto lens at this budget
Con Camera - I do want a decent camera, I wasn't looking for great ones, but my friend's iqoo neo 6 takes better pics than this, that hurts Vanilla software - not any actual customization - very minimal Battery life - it's bad, not worse
Yeah that's a good price for brand new 50 Ultra. But only if software updates aren't important to you. Otherwise Pixel 9a, Oneplus 13R, etc might be better options.
I like it but battery life is average. It charges pretty fast with the bundled charger.
I bought edge 50 ultra( 12 gb and 512gb) 8 months ago for 50k inr or 560$ , i cannot stop regretting, this phone's chipset is weak for this price i mean ik is should've taken everything into acc before buying and i did
I recently switched from the Mi 11 Ultra to the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, and honestly, it feels like I moved to a more refined, polished experience. Motorola has really stepped up their game.
