Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max

I bought this phone as a gift to myself, as I had an iPhone 11 Pro Max for about 4 years. I liked the Pro Max, but felt it was time to upgrade. The lack of new features (and features marketed to be with the phone but not actually in the phone yet - looking at the AI), the immense amount of technical glitches, and a very rough user experience really make me wish I had saved my money and kept my old 11.

To be frank, I think tech regulators need to enforce better standards for battery life marketing; Apple says that the iPhone 16 Pro Max offers up to 33 hours of video playback, up to 29 hours of streamed video playback, and up to 105 hours of audio playback. This is certainly not the case, as a majority of nights when I come home from work, I often find myself having to plug my phone in around 9:30 so it doesn’t die.

Mine, alone with several others after doing research about it, was overheating to the point where it wouldnt charge. Kept my app que clear, no hotspots on, no calls running, it would just get so hot that it wouldnt work, until i contacted a reddit user that went to apple, and said that there was apparently a new update directed to fix a heat issue.

My battery health is normal and capacity is at 86%, but it doesn't hold a charge nearly as well as these stats lead me to believe. I'm getting ready to take it to Apple to have the battery replaced. Other than this minor annoyance, I love the phone and see zero need for an upgrade.

Design - It comes to no surprise that this phone is just beautiful to look at and hold. The Titanium especially helps, as it makes the phone look and feel premium whilst reducing its weight. I’ve had minor drops here and there (with a case) and this phone looks good as new since I got it.

Compared to my iPhone 14 I had before this phone, I can confidently say that despite the larger size, it’s just as comfortable as the 14, especially with those rounded edges.

Well… Seems like my iPhone 16PM is the last iPhone I’ll ever buy, that was the last Apple environment I’ll get, my Apple Watch Series 10 46mm battery starte degrading real fast, and the new OS won’t support series 9, so my Series 10 won’t take long to be abandoned as well by Apple, it’s incredible how something I bought over a year for a premium prize became sooo out of date by the same company that made it, fuck that business model.
