The ZuPick verdict

4.0out of 5
BuyBest at battery, weakest at camera.

The OnePlus Nord 6 is a performance-and-battery focused premium phone that gets the big daily-use basics very right. It is easy to recommend if you care more about endurance, speed and screen quality than camera reach or charging extras.

Based on specs, expert reviews and owner discussions.
Performance4.5
Performance is comfortably flagship-grade for this price. It scores about 2.4 million on AnTuTu, which is well above most phones in this range, and UFS 4.1 storage keeps everyday use feeling quick. Four years of OS updates also adds useful long-term value.
Camera2.7
The camera setup is decent but clearly behind the better camera phones at this price. You get a 50 MP main camera with optical stabilisation, 4K60 video, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 32 MP front camera, but the lack of any telephoto lens holds it back heavily.
Display4.3
This is a strong screen for the price: AMOLED, sharper-than-standard 1272x2772 resolution, very high 3600 nits brightness and a 165 Hz refresh rate. It does not reach the very top tier reserved for LTPO or QHD+ panels, but it is still one of the better displays in this range.
Battery4.8
Battery life is a major strength here. The 9000 mAh battery is enormous for this class, the tested 20h 46m endurance is outstanding, and 80W charging is still fast enough to keep such a large battery practical. The only thing missing is wireless charging.
Value3.6
At ₹52793, the price is not aggressive, but the phone gives you standout battery life, very strong performance and a high-quality display in return. The weaker camera versatility and lack of wireless charging stop it from being a clear value leader.

Pros & cons

What’s good
Huge battery life

The 9000 mAh battery is far beyond what most phones at this price offer, and the tested 20h 46m result points to genuinely exceptional endurance. This is the kind of phone that suits heavy users and long days away from a charger.

Very strong performance

It scores about 2.4 million on AnTuTu, which is comfortably above what most rivals in this range manage. UFS 4.1 storage also helps apps open quickly and keeps the phone feeling fast over time.

Excellent display smoothness

The AMOLED panel gets very bright at 3600 nits and the 165 Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and gaming look especially fluid. The 1272x2772 resolution is also sharper than the plain Full HD screens still seen on some rivals.

Premium durability

IP68 and IP69 protection are strong extras in this class, giving better peace of mind around water and dust. That makes it easier to live with as an expensive daily phone.

Long software support

Four years of OS updates is solid for a phone you may keep for several years. It is not the very longest promise in this class, but it is still comfortably good.

What’s not
No telephoto camera

There is no dedicated zoom lens, which matters more at this price than it does on cheaper phones. Rivals with 3x or 5x zoom do a much better job with portraits, stage shots and distant subjects.

No wireless charging

At over ₹50,000, cable-only charging is a real omission because many alternatives start adding wireless charging here. You still get fast 80W wired charging, but the convenience gap is noticeable.

Camera setup feels basic

The 50 MP main camera and 8 MP ultrawide are serviceable, but this is not a standout camera package for the money. Buyers focused on versatility will find stronger options in this range.

Large and heavy body

At 217 grams with a 6.78-inch screen, this is not a compact or especially easy one-hand phone. The giant battery clearly helps endurance, but it comes with a size trade-off.

Camera in Nord 6 is decent but not the best. For gaming it should be good but I advise you to not update if the current update version is working well. Something or the other might break and you may experience issues.

Don't update ,I didn't update too it's working fine , people who updated are facing battery drain little bit more on idle and gaming performance is reduced like people complain of fps dropping to 30 -60

The camera is more than enough bro it's good I don't understand why people say it's camera is bad , I wanted to buy vivo x200t but got nord 6 instead for best battery + performance very good under low temperatures, and I got 16 hours screen on time without gaming for total 2 days

Just got the 12 GB version of Oneplus Nord 6 yesterday for 50k INR. The phone has taken me by surprise with its smoothness - it just feels like silk, fluid stutter free animations, fast scrolling and super punchy colours
